Sliding Vane Pumps

Sliding vane pump

Sliding vane pumps are rotary pumps that use vanes mounted on a rotor to pump fluid. The vanes slide in and out of the rotor as it turns, trapping liquid between the rotor and the pump wall, forcing the fluid through the pump and into the outlet pipe. These pumps are useful for pumping at very low pressure. GM Pumps’ BAL Range has three different model types. 2R pumps have two mechanical seals and two bearings. C pumps have a built-in heat chamber to allow pumping of fluids at high temperature. D pumps have a dual-shaft output, and are useful for transferring fluids to and from tanker trucks.
